MTO Inspection Station
In Ontario, commercial vehicles are required by law to undergo regular safety inspections to ensure they’re safe to operate. But beyond legal compliance, routine inspections are essential for avoiding mechanical failures, costly repairs, and unexpected downtime that can disrupt deliveries and logistics.
We’re a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station (MVIS) authorized to perform commercial vehicle safety inspections under Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO). Our certified technicians follow the standards outlined in the Highway Traffic Act, the Official Inspection Station Manual, and relevant federal vehicle manufacturing regulations to ensure your truck or trailer meets all safety and compliance requirements.

MTO Inspection
MTO inspections are mandatory vehicle evaluations regulated by Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation to ensure commercial vehicles meet provincial safety standards. These inspections are required for trucks over 4,500 kg GVWR and must be conducted annually or semi-annually, depending on the vehicle class. Our licensed technicians examine critical components like brakes, steering, suspension, tires, lights, and more. If the vehicle passes, it receives a valid yellow or orange safety sticker, which must be displayed to remain compliant. Operating without a valid inspection sticker can lead to fines, CVOR penalties, or even vehicle seizure. Regular MTO inspections help identify issues early and keeps your vehicle legally roadworthy and safe to operate on Ontario highways. Staying compliant helps avoid enforcement delays.

Annual Safety Inspection
An Annual Safety Inspection is a required checkup for commercial vehicles in Ontario to confirm they meet provincial safety standards for the road. This inspection is performed once every 12 months and applies to trucks, trailers, and other vehicles over 4,500 kg GVWR. Unlike other periodic checks, the annual inspection is a full assessment of the vehicle’s condition — covering everything from the braking system and tires to lighting, steering, and frame integrity. When a vehicle passes, it's issued a yellow annual safety certificate and sticker, which must be clearly displayed. Without it, vehicles can be pulled from service or result in penalties under the Highway Traffic Act. Staying up to date with annual inspections is not only a legal requirement but also essential for keeping your fleet operating safely and efficiently.

DriveON Inspection
DriveON inspections are part of Ontario’s updated digital vehicle inspection program that replaces traditional paper-based MTO inspections. Under this system, licensed inspection stations use tablets and software to conduct and record safety inspections electronically. DriveON covers both safety and emissions inspections and is now the standard for Annual and Semi-Annual Safety Certificates across the province. For commercial vehicles, DriveON ensures the inspection process is standardized, transparent, and directly reported to the MTO in real time. As our customer, you'll receive a digital copy of your inspection report, and your vehicle's compliance status is instantly updated in the system which helps reduce paperwork and speed up enforcement verification at roadside stops.

36 Days Inspection
A 36-Day Safety Inspection Certificate is a temporary safety certification issued in Ontario for specific short-term purposes. It’s most commonly used when a commercial vehicle needs to be registered, transferred, sold, or moved — but isn’t yet ready for a full Annual Safety Inspection. Valid for only 36 calendar days from the date of issue, this certificate confirms that the vehicle met Ontario’s minimum safety standards at the time of inspection. Unlike the full annual or semi-annual certificates, the 36-day certificate is not meant for ongoing operation in commercial service. It is often used by dealerships, new owners, or businesses bringing a vehicle out of storage. The inspection must still be performed by a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station, and if the vehicle is to continue operating beyond the 36 days, a full safety inspection will be required.
